Strict time records: Dominions and Reputation
Time flies in Mystara, and the requirements of time recording grow with the character levels. With the acquisition of your first dominions, the time tracking document needs to be expanded to include dominion turns.
This post continues the series about time tracking in multi-party campaigns. Here are the previous entries on this topic:
I won't dwell too deeply on the rules for dominion turns, so you should reference them directly from the ruleset.1,2,3
The dominion turn columns are added to the right of the party rosters. Each monthly turn looks like this. ☞
When you establish a new dominion, do the following:
- Go through determining all details of the new dominion, as per the rules, and enter the following information in the respective cells of the first dominion turn (marked yellow):
- Confidence rating,
- Population,
- Budget,
- Resources (workforce distribution) (no resource income in the first month),
- Tax rate (1 gp by default),
- Salt tax from the lesser rulers (0 at this point),
- Expenses,
- Extra income (from other sources).
- Establish the upcoming dominion-level events for the year.
Now, each new dominion turn (at the end of each game month), you must do the following:
- Enter the current confidence rating (it may change from the past events in the dominion).
- Calculate the population growth, entering the new value.
- Rearrange the workforce distribution, if needed.
- Update the tax rate and salt tax income, if needed.
- Enter the expenses and extra income for this month.
- The dominion ruler receives the experience equal to the "gross income/XP" of the dominion.
At the start of the new year, you must link the "budget" cell of the first month to the last month of the previous year, but other stuff should be updated automatically.

📝 Changelog:
- 2026-02-27 - v2.1 - Fixed bugs in dominion calculations.
The Reputation page template is also included in this new version.
