Strict time records

Since I've started my current Mystara campaign, the question of strict timekeeping on a calendar scale became especially pertinent, given that tracking training and studying time for the characters, as well as their slow natural healing rate are integral parts of the Rules Cyclopedia ruleset1,2.

The spreadsheet format is an obvious choice for the task, thus I've used the Libre Office suite3 for this project.

Mystarian year consists of 12 months, 28 days (4 weeks) each, allowing us to use the same year template for every year. You can also see the list of important events and dates for reference.

Grouped and collapsed in the screenshot above are columns for each character. Each month's rows are grouped as well. In Libre Office you can easily group columns and rows by selecting their range and pressing F12 (or Ctrl+F12 to ungroup), or by accessing the Data → Group and Outline menu.4 In the same manner, you can freeze first rows and columns so they will always be visible on the screen by checking View → Freeze Rows and Columns.5

Finally, here's an example of the document usage based on the real game events from my campaign. As you can see, it is pretty easy to track when the training checks should be done just by advancing the required amount of weeks forward, staying on the same weekday.
