ItDR Questionnaire 2023 Results

The ItDR Questionnaire was running for about two months, and I think it is time to collect the results.

And first of all, I need to thank everyone who took part in completing the questionnaire. Your input is very important and will certainly help with the further development of the game!

Now, let's go over the summary of answers.

Contents

Statistics ↩

The first part of the Questionnaire was focused on getting to know people who play the game, how long and in what way they play it.

1-discovery

Not surprisingly, the overwhelming stream of discovery comes from Discord and Itch.

2-version

Most people who participated in the questionnaire either played since v1.x (2019-2020) or started playing with the current v2.2 (2023). Hope this trend will continue!

3-difficulty

The majority of the people did find the rules easy to grasp, which is certainly good.

4-game-type

Most groups keep playing with established characters in either one-shots or short modules, or continuous campaigns.

5-game-level

While doing so, their characters usually reach 3rd level.

6-enjoyment

While enjoying the process of doing it, it seems!

Feedback ↩

The second part of the Questionnaire was aimed at getting feedback and ideas for the future development of ItDR. Here, I will try to summarize the most commonly brought up points.

The most engaging and enjoyable aspects of the game that were mentioned:

On the other hand, HP mechanics, the ganging-up rule, and the magic system presented a bit of a challenge to some. I am already working on improving the wording of these aspects in the upcoming v2.3. Any suggestions are welcome.

Most importantly, here is what the people want to be added to the game:

For these points, I'm happy to say that many will be implemented in the future, and some of them are currently in development as new supplements.

Once again, thanks to everyone who participated in the questionnaire, and stay tuned for future updates!
